LASTEC Project

The LASTEC Project received funding from Innovate UK (Newton Fund) Project Reference 102713.

Project LASTEC (Laser Surface Texturing of Compressor’s Mechanical Components: Increasing Energy Efficiency by Improved Tribological Performance).

The project developed a dry, one-step process for friction and wear reduction in refrigeration compressor mechanical components, using flexible and efficient laser surface texturing.
