When Image Quality Counts

Our high-speed imaging illumination and particle sizing systems provide great advantages. High-powered, short-pulse light sources enable Oxford Lasers’ Imaging systems to provide you with highly detailed visualisation of your processes. 

From droplet, particle and bubble size measurements for spray characterisation with our VisiSize series (particle size, shape and velocity) to short-pulsed laser illumination for high-speed imaging applications from our FireFLY and FireBIRD series – Oxford Lasers has a range of products to meet your project requirements.

Portable Spray Characterisation

VisiSize P15+

The most compact of the VisiSize range, the portable VisiSize P15+ is a complete integrated droplet and particle size measurement tool for in-field or in-lab use. It provides real-time analysis of size, shape and velocity of particles down to 10μm.

Ultra-Fast Spray Analysis System

VisiSize N60

High-performance system, the VisiSize N60 is a dedicated particle and droplet measurement tool for evaluation of more challenging sprays at high density and ultrafast speeds up to Mach 3. One of our biggest sizing systems, the VisiSize N60 provides real-time size, shape, velocity and direction analysis of particles down to 2μm.

Extended Working Distance

VisiSize N60maX

With longer distance capabilities than the VisiSize N60, the N60maX is a high-performance, ultra-fast particle and droplet measurement system with all the capabilities of N60 to analyse particles down to 2μm at a working distance of >165mm.

Laser Illumination Systems for High-Speed Imaging

Our high-performance laser-based illumination technology enables you to see what was previously hidden. With maximum power at a single wavelength (808nm), the short-pulsed illumination from our lasers give you the ability to capture high-quality images of fast-moving particles without blur. The intensity of our lasers even allow you to see through bright and energetic events for capturing images of processes too bright for conventional imaging techniques.

Compact 500W series

FireFLY Series

The FireFLY is our compact 500W laser series that has been designed as a good all-around laser illumination source for high-speed imaging applications. With two models, there are many options for accessories and capability for light-sheet applications. The FireFLY is an easy-to-use all rounder.

Liquid Light Guide (LLG) Flexibility

FireBIRD LLG

The FireBIRD LLG is our high power (1000W) laser designed for a range of high-speed imaging applications for blur-free images. The LLG model has a flexible, liquid light guide attached to the illumination head. This model is a good choice when flexibility of positioning the imaging and illumination equipment are needed.

Direct Area Illumination (DAI) Model

FireBIRD DAI

The FireBIRD DAI is our high power (1000W) laser designed for illuminating a range of high speed imaging applications with a single fixed lens on the laser body for increased intensity of smaller areas.

Imaging Contract Services

Oxford Lasers Imaging Contract Services Lab

Using our in-house imaging systems, we provide contract services to generate a wide range of qualitative and quantitative data including high-speed imaging, particle and droplet spray analysis (size, shape and velocity) as well as advanced spray characterisation for pharamceutical devices (spray pattern, plume geometry, event duration, particle size, shape and velocity).
