Oxford Lasers at SPIE Photonics Europe 2026

Oxford Lasers to Deliver Cutting-Edge Technical Talks at SPIE Photonics Europe

Oxford Lasers is gearing up for a high-impact presence at this year’s SPIE Photonics Europe, the leading European conference for optics and photonics research scheduled for 12-16 April in Strasbourg, France.

Our advanced micromachining expertise will be showcased by two members of our R&D team who will present three forward-looking technical sessions covering major industry trends – from laser microwelding for quantum computing, to through-glass vias (TGVs) for semiconductor interposers and data-driven optimisation.

Featured Presentations: Precision Laser Micromachining

Tues, 14th April
Dr. Etienne Pelletier, “Ultrafast laser microwelding for quantum technology”

Wed, 15th April
Dr. Toby Barnard “Customised through vias in glass interposer production using ultrafast lasers and chemical etching”

Thurs, 16th April
Dr. Toby Barnard “Smart laser microhole drilling: data-driven compensation and predictive process optimisation”

We are excited to contribute to the photonics community and share the latest breakthroughs powering the next generation of semiconductor, quantum and precision manufacturing technologies.
