Oxford Lasers Signs Agreement with Brazilian Distributor - Labcontrol - for VisiSize Products
Imaging Division's Particle Characterisation Products Expanding into Latin America
August 2024 (Didcot, Oxfordshire, England) – Oxford Lasers is pleased to announce a signed distributor agreement with Labcontrol Instrumentos Cientificos Ltda (Labcontrol), a supplier of laboratory analytical instrumentation in São Paulo, Brazil. The agreement allows Labcontrol to support the sales of Oxford Lasers Imaging Division’s VisiSize products within Brazil.
Dr. Séamus Murphy, Manager – Imaging Division, Oxford Lasers, added “We are excited to have a firm presence in Latin America and are very pleased to be working with Labcontrol. They are the perfect partner for representing our VisiSize products. Labcontrol is a highly reputable company and a known technology supplier to our target sectors – including Agrochemical – with a long history of representing trusted brands”.
Dr. Murphy explained “Brazil is an important geographic area for sales of our VisiSize droplet characterisation systems and are well received in that region as an effective technique for evaluating spray quality. Within the current regulatory landscape, there has been an increased demand to reduce the amount of chemicals used in agricultural food production. To achieve this, industry is required to understand the environmental impact of their products and to mitigate it. That’s why interest in our VisiSize products has been growing as companies are searching for better methods to understand the behaviour of their products by the evaluation of their sprays”. He added “In addition, the VisiSize P15+ has been found by industry as the perfect portable tool for use in their educational outreach programmes on how best to apply their products. It’s proven to be a popular educational tool”.
Dr. Murphy summarised “Our customers have found the compact VisiSize P15+ very easy and versatile to use whether in the field, in a training workshop, on the shop floor, or in the laboratory”. He continued “The system is a simple, yet powerful tool to help Agrochemical, Nozzle and Application System companies to understand Spray Quality. Using real-time images in a simple format for the users, it enables understanding of how complex system-operating conditions – such as tank mix, nozzle types, and operating pressure – instantly translate into the impact on droplet size, spray available for drift and overall environmental impact”.
